Together with partner The CultureVulture we’re intending to map, track, celebrate and stimulate the digital activity taking place in that region.
But it’s not just for artists, we’re really looking to connect with anyone who is interested in arts and culture in its widest sense – from makers to people who just enjoy telling the story of their place.
Emma explains it well on her blog:
Without being too cheesy we’re on a mission to help people get the most out of where they live, and we believe a blog, (not just writing for this one) gives you the self permission to discover whatever it is that takes your fancy and find like minds, and be part of creating a community.
So if you are just dipping your toe into the waters of blogging and social media, or thinking about it, or interested in sharing the best of what happens in your postcode, or keen to find people who care about the same stuff you do, then we think the relaxed, informal environment will be right up your street.
Ahead of the programme we’re starting to map some of the activity going on – events, talks, links etc. you can see the first few items via the link below and we’d love to add some more. Feel free to contact us via either of our blogs, on Twitter or post directly onto the map via this Noticeboard.
Also, Emma and I are going to be on hand to talk more about this at the Talk About Local (#Tal13) unconference on Saturday 28 September so if you want to find out more, please do come along. Free tickets available here: https://tal13.eventbrite.com.
