Hyperlocal sites and proposed Press Regulation after Leveson

18th March 2013 by Mike Rawlins

We have had a few people from Hyperlocal sites contacting us here at Talk About Local to ask about Hyperlocal sites and proposed Press Regulation and how might it affect them.

Well in short, right now, we don’t know, but it looks like some sites may fall within the proposed new regulations if this screen grab is anything to go by.

We are of course watching the post Leveson Press Regulation debate closely and will be updating our site with more definitive information as soon as we have it.

I look after the technical side of things at Talk About Local.
Away from Talk About Local I take photos, fly my quadcopter and walk my two Beagles.
If I'm not doing any of the above then you'll find me volunteering at my local RNLI station as a press officer.
