The Maple House venue for this Saturday’s #TAL12 unconference is lovely and central but it’s not in the very best bit of Birmingham, which is of course Digbeth! (See Digbeth is Good for a million reason why.)
That’s why the pre-#TAL12 entertainment this Friday 26th April will be geared towards discovering Digbeth. We’ll be starting at 6.00pm with a walk from the Bullring’s Bull sculpture in the city centre through Digbeth, taking in its glorious architecture, street art and industrial history (a map of the route is here).
Then we’ve booked a table for 7.30pm at the Bay Leaf Restaurant in The Custard Factory arts and media quarter followed by some post-curry pints at Birmingham’s oldest inn, The Old Crown pub. Digbeth really is good!
If you’d like to join us for the Friday night fun, please let us know in the comments box or on the #TAL12 google group if you haven’t already.
