Talk About Local training with Icarus to help bring their work to life

Last Wednesday and William went to Sheffield to deliver a training day with the Directors of Icarus, an organisation that ‘specialise in the design, facilitation, delivery and evaluation of planning and decision making processes which draw people and organisations together’.

We went through ways and means of using the Icarus website to tell their story by highlighting the need for and impact of their work and using a variety of tools such as imagery, video and audio to record whilst ‘doing’ and bring their work to life. We also discussed ways of using online social networks such Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to develop and build relationships and widen Icarus’ reach.

We covered a lot of ground during the day, with a lot of practical work to get accustomed to the website’s dashboard and using video and audio recording tools, as well as looking at examples of how other similar organisations have used their websites and online networks to illustrate and connect.

I conducted a short video interview with Icarus Director Nicola Stenberg at the end of the day, which you can view above.
